Genesis Welcomes Dr. Travor Brown to the Board of Directors

We’re pleased to announce that Dr. Travor C. Brown has joined our Board of Directors. Dr. Brown brings a wealth of expertise in labour relations, human resources, and leadership development, making him a valuable addition to Genesis.

Dr. Brown is the Dean of the Faculty of Business Administration at Memorial University. Since joining the university, he has also held the positions of Associate Dean (Research) and Director of the Master of Employment Relations program.

Dr. Brown’s impressive academic portfolio includes over 30 peer-reviewed articles, a textbook, and numerous conference presentations. As a two-time SSHRC grant recipient, his research focuses on goal setting, training effectiveness, and leadership development—insights he connects directly to real-world applications.

With a career spanning telecommunications, manufacturing, and academia, Dr. Brown excels at bridging the gap between industry and research. We look forward to leveraging his expertise to foster innovation and leadership within our community. Welcome, Dr. Brown!

Genesis would also like to take this opportunity to bid a fond farewell to Jennifer Penney, who has served on our Board of Directors since 2022. In addition to her role on the Board, she supported the organization as a member of the Human Resources & Governance Committee.
